Mean Machine’s member, Samuel Mejja is very confident that his team will win the inaugural varsity league. He spoke this after his team beat Catholic University monks 26-10 at Kenyatta University last Saturday.
“This was arguably our toughest match so far and we were really put under pressure by the opposition. However, the boys showed character and we hang on to win the match,”
he said. Mean Machine will battle with Egerton University at Egerton university’s backyard while Blak Bad will be facing Catholic University monks in the second finals.
Mejja accepts the challenging test of playing at Egerton’s backyard. He says,
“They will be playing at home and have played well but I think my team will be up to the task and we will be relishing the challenge,” Mejja said.
Mean machine are also grooming new talent and they’ll be playing with the seniors at the Impala Floodlit tournament. He’s happy with the new players participating and coming through.
‘This is much a squad of new players with a few old heads and the new players have really played well in the three matches we have had so far and credit to them,” added Mejja.

The semi-final moves to Njoro Town this coming Saturday at Egerton University rugby grounds.
