Meru University VC Sent on Terminal Leave

This comes after student’s unrest which ended up by their student leaders being fatally killed.

The Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed has sent the institution’s vice chancellor Japheth Magambo on terminal leave. The announcement was made after she visited the troubled institution and urged all student leaders and school administration to always address issues arising before they erupt.

Ms. Mohammed called on police to fast-track the investigations into the killing of the student leaders Evans Njoroge alias Kidero.

The cs has also ordered the institution to be reopened after it’s shut following the students’ unrest.

The student leader, Evans is set to be buried this week despite the pending investigations on his killing.
