Your rappers favorite rapper is back! Johnny Vigeti is releasing a track named “Siku Moja” this Friday. We on Varcity, we have the trailer here!

Vigeti has always been the stand-out rapper in Kalamashaka. Known as one of the greatest rap artistes Kenya has ever had, Vigeti has taken the behind-the-curtain stance for a while. Known to be lyrically aggressive and armed with a stellar rhyme scheme and flow, his verses have always been local rap conversation references.

Vigeti’s first solo album is something people have been begging for and if the recent releases are anything to go by then we will be in for a surprise.

Rap legends K-Shaka made a musical comeback towards the end of last year and to what seemed more like a stepping stone for Vigeti to launch a solo career, he’s been working on a project with Swedish based producer and artiste Ken Ring. In February, rap fans got excited when Vigeti released a two minute lyrical onslaught titled “Simba” where he spoke of new school rappers by even calling out Khaligraph and Kaka Sungura. Ouch!

In his second release, he is talking about life and how we are all looking to that ‘one day’. In the 1.30 minute trailer, he raps about how the government and religion have divided us. But we all have that hope of one day being happy ‘Siku Moja’.

Here is the trailer for, ‘Siku Moja’;
