Multimedia University students on Monday morning protested against reckless driving by motorists on Magadi Road that claimed a life of one of their own.
Police were called to restore order after the students on Monday morning paralysed operations on the busy Magadi road.
Accidents linked to student deaths at the university have hit headlines in the last five years with the students taking to the roads on at least two occasions.
No License
The minibus that killed four people and injured six others in a road accident on Lang’ata Road on Sunday was operating without licence, the NTSA has said.
NTSA director general Francis Mejja yesterday said the vehicle – KCG 748M – was operating under the Ongataline Sacco, despite withdrawal of its Road Service Licence by the agency.
Three student leaders seeking justice were arrested alongside the protesters. this has caused an uproar on social media with UoN threatening to support their fellow comrades if they do not release them.
-Injustice shown at Multimedia University by the police. After feeding us with teargas ,you arrested our leaders.
