Murang’a University has issued a notice to all students and staff advising them to keep off the university farm for two days.
This comes after the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) issued a statement alerting all students that a shootout exercise would be done to,…wait for it…to shoot monkeys that have been terrorizing the students and residents around the university.
A statement signed by the School’s security officer F.N. Kimotho read ”the exercise will involve firing of live bullets which may cause fear and panic but all are requested to remain calm’’.
All students have therefore been advised to avoid the university farm from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (13th March and 14th March).
