Musician Vanessa Mdee denied entering a government building because of dress code

Many Tanzanians know how strict Magufuli is when it comes to discipline. He has been seen very strict with his rules. From misbehaving online to wearing indecent clothes, president Magufuli had banned a number of things in his country that made a lot of his citizens get mixed reactions.

Vanessa Mdee found herself on the wrong side after going to a government building and she was barred from entering it. The guards said that it was because of her indecent mini skirt. However, Vanessa claimed that her skirt was just above her knees. The guards said that she was dressed ‘scantily’.

She took to Twitter and ranted about the whole situation

”Only in Tanzania is my skirt which is at my knees too short to enter a public corporate building. This is incredible.” she tweeted.

Her fellow Tanzanians were sympathizing with her in the comments.

Vanessa Mdee was however accepted to get in after calling her host and she came and let her in.
