New Law In Town! Performers And Film Makers In Trouble

Kenya Film Classification Board have taken in their threat of coming up with a law that regulates performers on how to conduct themselves during a live concert.

The C.E.O of the KFCB, Dr. Ezekiel Mutua is today in Mombasa county to hold talks on the issue and this comes days after popular singer Akothee pictures and photos trended online on how she always performs and this triggered many different reactions.

Unlicensed filming and distribution of content is a breeding ground for radicalisation among the youth Evans Achoki said.

Ezekiel Mutua went ahead to say that there will be punishment for those who try to break the rules.

The Board is alive to the fact that foreign artists are recklessly breaking local laws that govern the entertainment industry. These culprits will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

County Commissioner Evans Achoki has Barred clubs and other entertainment joints staging live performances saying that they will be regulated and closely monitored for breech of CAP 222.
