Migori County Governor Okoth Obado could now spend four more cold nights in the same cold cells he has been fighting to be freed from as Judge Jessie Lessit on Monday pushed his bail application hearing to Friday.

The troubled governor was on Monday morning arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts alongside his co-accused Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero where they were charged a fresh with two counts of murder that is that of Sharon Otieno and that of the unborn infant she was pregnant with by the time of her gruesome murder.

Initially the court had only charged the suspects with the murder of Sharon leaving out her unborn baby but following a public outcry and complaints by human rights organizations, it seems like the court had to rule on the matter afresh.

The governor through his defense had made a bail application claiming his health had been deteriorating in jail cells forcing him to seek medical attention at Kenyatta Hospital late last week.

His other two alleged accomplices have also made a bail application.
