A police officer at Otiato AP post in Mumias, Kakamega County was busted with a standard 6 pupil in his house over the weekend.

Police sources told TUKO.co.ke that the officer, Alex Igadwa, was arrested by two of his colleagues at his official house at the camp. The 14-year-old girl had been reported missing by his father.

The police said, “This was discovered after the child’s father complained at the said post,” read a police report filed at Otiato AP post. The girl was taken to a local hospital to be checked whether she was defiled.

Igwada is set to be charged with defilement as soon as the results are out. Many primary and secondary students who have been engaging in early sex have increased in the country. So far a total of 449 candidates have missed the national exams both KCPE and KSSE in 2018.
