The order from Commission for University Education (CUE) has asked Presbyterian University Of East Africa to suspend their recruitment of new students in their institution. The institution got its license revoked by the Commission early this year on an auditing basis.

Speaking as to why the suspension was introduced to the institution, the CUE chairman Mr. Chacha Nyaigoti said that the university has to wait for a three-member team appointed by the Ministry of Education that will uplift the revocation.

The University has been running recruitment through various media outlets, churches and road shows despite the order to suspend recruitment.

However Professor Chacha noted that Education CS Amina Mohammed had already sent a report that will determine if the institution goes on with the exercise or not.
