The decision to close Kisii satellite campus was a rude shock to students who did not know the next plan to take. However, it is now a relief for the students as the court has stopped the institution from closing Kisumu campus.
The institution had posted a memo on their notice board two days after the new semester began. Tis forced the students to seek for legal intervention against their school’s decision to close the satellite campus in Kisumu. They had not been informed of the move and it was an abrupt decision without proper consultation.
While the university has the right to open and close satellite campuses, proper consultation ought to be done.
