Three IEBC officials that is Vice Chairperson Connie Nkatha Maina and Commissioners Margaret Mwachanya and Paul Kurgat called quits on Monday morning.

The three in their resignation speech blamed the commission’s troubles on the Chairperson Mr. Wafula Chebukati.

“For far too long and way too many times, the commission Chair has failed to be the steady and stable hand that steers the ship in difficult times and gives directions when needed,” the three now former IEBC chiefs stated in their speech.

They went on to add, “Under the current commission leadership, we have had many instances where statements have been issued purporting to give a position of the commission, yet those statements are mispresentation of facts”.

The commission has been having disagreements since the nullification of the August 8th election but there still seemed to be some hope. However the compulsory leave of its CEO Ezra Chiloba by Mr. Chebukati seems to have caused more trouble to the already troubled commission.
