Shujaaz Hits Their 100 Point Target In The World Sevens Series

Shujaa has continued to fly the Kenyan flag high after beating Wales 33-19 in a match that took place yesterday at Twickenham Stadium, England.

The Innocent Simiyu lead team not only hit its 2017/2018 point target which was 100 points but also won the challenge trophy at the London leg of the World Sevens series. Kenya Sevens now sits at 101 points with one more game to go which is set to take place on Saturday.

Shujaa’s previous record stood at 99 points gathered in the 2012/2013 season under Briton coach Mike Friday in which the team finished fifth overall.

Many Kenyans couldn’t hide their excitement about the achievement with many taking to social media to congratulate the team for doing us all proud among them former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Businessman Chris Kirubi.

Here are some of the congratulatory messages we sampled on twitter;
