Six deadly diseases that can be transmitted through Kissing

Majority of people in relationships tend to love kissing compared to other things. It is vividly seen as an easier way of showing love. Well, there are sicknesses that are likely to cause kissing. Here are some of the diseases.

  1. Colds.

If you are in a relationship with someone who is having a cold flu, in case you kiss someone who is having a cold flu, you are likely to get the flu.

2. Kiss disease

This is a virus transmitted through the saliva and it is infectious.

3. Cold Sores

This is also caused by virus and it can bring blisters in your mouth.

4. Hepatitis B

This infection can occur when the infected blood and saliva of the infected person come into contact.

5. Meningococcal Disease

This is a life threatening disease and it can cause inflammation of the membranes that surround the  brain and spinal cord.

6. Dental Caries

Kissing babies can lead to dental caries to new born babies.

Tips to avoid or reduce infections through kissing.

  • Avoid kissing or being kissed when one of you is sick
  • Maintain good oral hygiene
  • Avoid kissing someone on the lips when there is an active mouth, warts or ulcers around the lips .
