The Social Media Awards Africa – Full Nominee List

I noticed people have this confused with the SOMA Awards that already happened. Hence I’m here to rescue most of you from your ignorance.

The Social Media Awards are Africa’s premier awards for social and digital media with nominations spanning four categories and drawn from across the continent. It’s an initiative by Development Diaries.

Announcing the list of successful nominees and the commencement of the voting stage of the awards at a Press Conference in Lagos-Nigeria, Femi Aderibigbe, Project Lead, SMAAfrica, expressed the delight of the conveners at the overwhelming turnout in the nomination process which lasted for 27days.
“After rigorous evaluations and background checks, we are excited to present the list of 150 successful nominees for the 2014 Social Media Awards Africa. Beyond our initial entry target of 700, we received about 923 entries for the 15 Awards featured for this year.”

The voting window is part of the process leading to the emergence of 15 Finalists for the4 Categories and 15 Awards for the maiden edition of the Social Media Awards Africa.
