SportPesa bounces back

A huge number of Kenyan youth have been addictive to betting. News they are busy waiting for is the comeback of SportPesa in the Kenyan industry. This move is awaited by many Kenyans who were subscribers to the company.

After the company got cleared by KRA, they are planning to embark on activities they used to do. Apart from betting, SportPesa was also sponsoring football teams such as Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.

“Our sessions with regulators and government are targeted towards creating a better understanding of the gaming industry with the view of creating a shared perspective on related regulation, including tax administration,” SportPesa said.

The government revoked SportPesa’s license in July on grounds that the company had failed to meet its tax obligations.

The firm, however, said it was compliant. Now that it’s back, huge population that were addicted will have a new taste of the company.
