Strathmore University, Kenya’s leading non-profit higher education institution is soon launching three new degree programs that will respond to growing demand for specialized skills in the country. The latest Strathmore University degree programs are:
- BA in Communication studies,
- BA in International Studies and
- BA in Development Studies and Philosophy
The launch of these programs including Development Studies and Philosophy, International Studies and Communication Studies will mark new milestone for the institution. The launch was celebrated today in the Strathmore Business School Auditorium.

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences, already runs two Master Programs: The Master of Science in Education Management (MSc.EM) and Master of Applied Philosophy and Ethics(MAPE). Strathmore said these Masters programs have changed most graduates approach to life, the way they work and their role in society today.
The Dean of School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof. Christine Gichure, said that they are keen to launch a set of new high quality, ethics driven studies in response to the industry demands. A study on employers’ hiring preferences conducted in 2015 showed Strathmore graduates were most sought after in the Kenya job market, alongside those from the University of Nairobi.
Strathmore University presently offers 14 Undergraduate Programs and 13 Masters Programs.
