Suspects Bodo and Obure released on Ksh 50,000 bail in Omwenga’s Murder Case

Nairobi businessman Chris Obure has been charged with two criminal counts among them; failing to secure a fire arm contrary to the fire arms act.

It is alleged that on August 21, 2020 at Senteu Plaza where Glo-jet offices are located, being a licensed firearm holder, he unlawfully allowed his firearm to be used by Robert Bodo to advance the cause of murder.

The businessman faces another count of failing to secure ammunition.

His bodyguard Robert Bodo was charged with two counts; possession of firearm without a permit and possesion of ammunition.

The two suspects pleaded not guilty to the offences and were released on a Ksh.50,000 cash bail.

The case will be mentioned on September 30, 2020.
