Tanzania Bans “Hand Shakes,” due to Corona phobia

Corona Virus have many countries in the world to be phobic. The fear of the virus has even led to cancelling of flights coming from countries that have recorded a case or cases of the virus.

Tanzania for instance has made measures not only in the country but also in the football federation. The virus has led to a new way of greeting players when begin a match and also ending the match.

All matches in Tanzania, the players are bound not to greet or hug one another in the pitch. This is a new measure to prevent Corona Virus from spreading from one person to another in case one of the players is infected.

Only gestures will be allowed in the matches. The players used heels of the feet before and after the game. This was put in place when Azam FC and Yanga were playing the match once the official communication was shared.

A handshake, studies say, transfers twice the amount of bacteria compared to other quicker exchanges.
As part of basic measures against COVID-19, the World Health Organization (WHO) has advised the public to “regularly and thoroughly clean” their hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.

After declaring the outbreak an international health emergency, the WHO raised the global risk assessment to “very high”.
Meanwhile, governments have closed their borders and suspended land and air travel with the worst-affected countries such as China, Italy and Iran.
