Police have done a good  job together with Kenyans in coming together to help those people who were trapped inside the Dusit hotel that was attacked yesterday afternoon by unknown assailants.

The government has commended the good job and the calmness that the Kenyan citizens have portrayed since the attack began and now that it is over.

While addressing the nation for the first time since the attack was reported, the president, Uhuru Kenyatta confirmed that the attackers are all  dead and that 14 bodies have been reported dead.

He has urged Kenyans to be calm and has assured them that the country is safe and that all Kenyans can go back to their normal businesses in the busy town.

Families and relatives of the late bodies have gone to the city mortuary and Chiromo mortuary to confirm the bodies of their relatives and close friends and the president has sent out a condolence message to the families that have lost their loved ones.

The Cabinet Secretary of Interior security Dr. Fred Matiang’i has also assured Kenyans that the country is safe and that they are always alert and ready to fight terrorism in the country.
