The University of Nairobi has decided to postpone the end of year examinations which were supposed to be done in early December to January 8th. This comes after several strikes caused the students to miss an entire semester. This current strike would have made them miss a second semester but lecturers have asked students to attend classes so as to make up for lost time.
As of the 13th of November, all students of the various schools were expected to go on with their studies. It is expected that by January, the students will have finished the syllabuses after catching up during this and next month and be ready to sit for exams. However, there are still some UoN students who claim that they have not returned to class.

Other public university students are still at home because of the lecturers’ strike. Other universities have also postponed their exams. Lecturers are still trying to negotiate the 2013/2017 CBA.
