The Kenya Defense Forces team is pleased to announce the recruitment of Servicemen/ servicewomen, Constables & tradesmen/tradeswomen which is scheduled to take place from 19th November to 19 December 2018 at various places countrywide.

Citizens are notified that the recruitments will take place at daytime before 6 pm in various centers countrywide. Successful candidates will be issued with calling letters at the recruitment centers by the senior recruitment officers.

These are some of the qualifications you must have in order to participate;

  Servicemen/women

(1) Must be a Kenyan citizen, Dual citizenship is not accepted.

(2) Be in possession of valid Kenyan National Identity Card.

(3) Age: Between 18 and 26 years old.

(4) Be physically and medically fit in accordance with the KDF standards.

(5) Have no criminal record.

(6) Minimum Height:

(a) Men:1.60 m (5ft 3 in).

(b) Women:1.52 m (5ft).

(7) Minimum Weight

(a) Men: 54.55 Kg (120 Ib).

(b) Women: 50.00 Kg (110 Ib).

(8) Female candidates must NOT be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the entire duration of training.

(9) Education: A minimum of mean grade D (plain) in KCSE for the general recruits.

Tradesmen / Women

a. Prospective candidates wishing to apply must satisfy the conditions and requirements given below.

(1) Must be a Kenyan citizen, Dual citizenship is not accepted.

(2) Be in possession of valid Kenyan National Identity Card.

(3) Age: Between 18 and 26 years old for certificate holders and between 18 and 30 years old for diploma holders

(4) Be physically and medically fit in accordance with the KDF standards.

(5) Have no criminal record.

(6) Minimum Height:

(a) Men:1.60 m (5ft 3 in).

(b) Women:1.52 m (5ft).

(7) Minimum Weight

(a) Men: 54.55 Kg (120 lb).

(b) Women: 50.00 Kg (110 lb).

(8) Female candidates must NOT be pregnant at the time of recruitment and during the entire duration of training.

(9)Education:

(a) Technicians: A minimum of mean grade C (Plain) in KCSE. A relevant Diploma or above from a recognized institution and be registered with the relevant statutory bodies where applicable.

(b) Artisans: A minimum of mean grade D+ (Plus) in KCSE and either a relevant certificate with Government Trade Test Grade II or Craft II from a recognized Institution.

Constables

(1) Must be a Kenyan citizen. Dual citizenship is not accepted.

(2) Be in possession of valid Kenyan National Identity Card.

(3) Be ex-Kenya Defence Forces Service Member (ex-KDF) or ex-National Youth Serviceman/woman (ex-NYS).

(4) Be between the ages of 30 and 55 years old for ex-KDF and between 35 and 45 years old for ex-NYS.

(5) Possess a Discharge Certificate of minimum ‘Very Good- in conduct

(6) Must have served for at least 9 years colour service for ex-KDF.

(7) Be physically and medically lit in accordance with the KDF standard,

(8) Have no criminal record.

(9) Female candidates must NOT be pregnant at recruitment and during training.
