With Leonardo Dicaprio, stealing the Oscar award show by him winning his very first Oscar, and giving an emotional speech, we had to look back into five of the best Oscar award speeches in the last three years.
- Matthew McConaughey
In 2014, Mathew won an Oscar award for best actor for his performance in” Dallas buyers club”. Mathew gave a remarkable speech. Reminding us that his life is guided by three things:
- Something to look up to.
- Something to look forward to.
- Someone to chase.
He also reminds us when you got God, you got a friend.
- Jared Leto.
Jared has been a character in many of our favorite movies including the hit television series” my so called life” but he charmed us even more in the hit movie “Dallas buyers club” that also got him an Oscar award for best supporting actor. In his Oscar speech, Jared reminded the world of the importance of having a mother who believes in you and lets you dream. He dedicated his award to whoever has experienced injustice because of who they are and who they love.

In 2015, Eddie Redmayne received an Oscar award for best actor in leading role. Eddie starred in the famous “theory of everything” film. His reception was exciting and funny all together.
- Lupita Nyong’o
Lupita brought the whole audience to tears after she received her Oscar award for best supporting actress in the “twelve years a slave” film. She reminded us that no boundaries can make us not achieve our dreams.
- Leonardo Dicaprio
This was Leo’s first Oscar win after several nominations. Everyone was excited and clearly he was too. Leo won an award for best actor in the film “the revenant. Leo has been a charmer to many for many years and the world was glad that somebody finally decided to reward his efforts.
