Yemi Alade, the African “King” of Queens has released the video to the sixth song off her sophomore album (Mama Africa) produced by Selebobo. The MAMA award winning beauty has had a good run this year with her music and she doesn’t seem to be slowing the pace.

The afro-pop dance anthem “Tumbum”, directed by Paul Gambit features Nollywood stars Ime Bishop Umoh and Beverly Osu. In the playful clip, Alade plays a restaurant cook who serves up tasty jollof and fufu in a rural Nigerian community.

Ime Bishop plays the lad who is at a cross-road on who to pick to be his woman between Yemi and Beverly Osu.

They both serve him lots of food at their restaurants; talk of the way to a mans heart.

In Nigeria, food isn’t just for consumption but is a cultural representation. Different states in the country are known for their indigenous delicacies”

Explained Yemi in an interview with The FADER  on the relevance of the theme.
