The Color Purple Concert is a comprehensive afternoon extending into the night that aims at bringing together more than 7,000 people with a vast majority being ladies with the sole purpose of empowering, sharing ideas, networking and learning. The event’s theme is borrowed from This years International Womens Day theme; Press for Progress.

Among the highlights of the event will be a Talk Show with a panel discussing the theme; Plight of Women in the Society, free breast and cervical cancer screenings and a concert graced by an all-female performances.

The Talk Show that will be aired live on ViuSasa of Citizen TV will take place from 1 to 3pm with a targeted live audience of about 1,000 women.
The Talk Show will be hosted by Janet Mbugua.
The topics discussed will cover:
•        Women and health ie pregnancy challenges like postpartum depression, miscarriages, barrenness and death at giving birth as well as cancer among women
•        Career development and challenges
•        Gender distribution in leadership positions in Kenya
•        Notable Woman for Woman initiatives in Kenya
•        Gender based violence

Zari today laded at JKIA ready to host the event.

This concert will see performances by Top female artists in Kenya and East Africa.
